Before You Begin – Potential Softlocks

UPDATE: PLEASE READ – THERE IS CURRENTLY A GAMEBREAKING BUG PERSISTING ACROSS PLAYTHROUGHS THAT CAN MAKE THIS ACHIEVEMENT IMPOSSIBLE TO GET (I.E. A HARDLOCK).

It is right before you unlock access to Level 8 – Security; specifically, the Reactor self-destruct lever that will become unusable, even across playthroughs, after being activated.

My advice is to either wait until this bug is fixed (if you already progressed past this point and missed something beforehand), or ensure you’ve done everything you want to up to this point before going forward.

TO ENSURE YOU DO NOT GET HARDLOCKED, SAVE IMMEDIATELY AFTER ACTIVATING THE REACTOR SELF-DESTRUCT LEVER AND BRING ENOUGH HEALING SO YOU DO NOT DIE RIGHT AFTER.

UPDATE 2: POTENTIAL SOLUTION – You may be able to overcome this hardlock by resetting the achievement associated with the bug.

Haven’t gotten this far yet to test it, does resetting achievements fix the bug?
This link details how to if anyone wants to try:

Seems like you don’t need to download any program to do it, just run steam in console mode.

I’ll even save you time, you’ll need this:
AppID: 482400
Achievement API Name: StartReactorCountdown

There are several points in the game where, should you progress too far, you will be unable to go back to previous areas to pick up missed items or collectibles.

Progress does not save across playthroughs. Be careful to not softlock yourself by reaching certain parts of the game! You will have to load a previous save or start a new playthrough if you miss anything! Here are all the softlocks I know of:

Beta Grove: Destroy all the cameras and pick up the items/collectibles you want in here before progressing to jettisoning the grove.

Levels R to 7: Destroy all the cameras/CPU nodes and pick up the items/collectibles you want in these sections before progressing to Security (Level 8).

Level 8: Destroy all the cameras/CPU nodes and pick up the items/collectibles you want in this section before progressing to the Bridge (Level 9). Also keep in mind that you will lose access to your cargo lift once you enter the next area.

Level 9: Destroy all the cameras in this section before entering the area unlocked by the Isolinear Chipset .

Everything beyond here will be (mostly) unmarked spoilers.

Level R – Reactor

Nothing in particular to note.

10 Cameras, 0 Nodes

Level 1 – Medical

Finding them all should be pretty straightforward.

20 Cameras, 4 Nodes

Level 2 – Research

There were surprisingly few cameras here.

2 Cameras, 4 Nodes

Level 3 – Maintenance

You can’t get to the last camera and CPU nodes until you have access to the maintenance hallways to lower the security level a bit more.

17 Cameras, 3 Nodes

Level 4 – Storage

You will be unable to get the very last camera until you destroy all other cameras and CPU nodes in the area.
It’ll be in Storage 9, opened by a 1% security level and access code 838 .

16 Cameras, 4 Nodes

Level 5 – Flight Deck (I loathe this one)

There’s a camera behind a hidden door.
It’s marked by my custom waypoint on the map. If you haven’t noticed already,
I’ve been marking the hidden doors on the other maps, too .

13 Cameras, 1 Node

Level 6 – Executive

Pretty straightforward.

7 Cameras, 3 Nodes

Alpha Grove

Also pretty straightforward.

8 Cameras, 0 Nodes

Beta Grove

I wonder why it’s all red…?

Jokes aside, bring sufficient healing and energy restores. Maybe consider picking up the environmental protection suit beforehand. You can find it in Storage 9.
…And maybe don’t forget to buy the mod-kit upgrade as well.

8 Cameras, 0 Nodes

Old version included if you have difficulty differentiating red and orange.

Delta Grove

Should be easy.

8 Cameras, 0 Nodes

Level 7 – Engineering

Map is a bit large.

21 Cameras, 4 Nodes

Level 8 – Security

Keep in mind that there are many floors in this area; just because you see a camera nearby on your minimap does not mean it is at the same height as you.

13 Cameras, 4 Nodes

Level 9 – Bridge

Victory lap.

8 Cameras, 0 Nodes
