DAVE THE DIVER: Gotta Fish ’em All Guide (3-Star Fishing)

A short guide to three starring all your fish in the Marinca App!
The idea of three-star fishing is that you do not kill or harpoon them.

Requirements

Gotta Fish ’em All!

The requirement of three-star fish is that you do not kill or harpoon them.

Fish will have different ranks, depending on the rank of fish you will need special equipment to get them as a three star.
The following list is a quick summary of the methods available to catch the fish at the highest star rating. To begin your completion of the Marinca App there will be a few requirements.

  • Unlocked Bug Net (Maki Restaurant Event)
  • Unlocked Steel Net Trap/Recovery Drone (Restaurant Tuna Event)
  • Unlocked/upgraded (Steel*) Net Gun
  • Unlocked/upgraded (Modified*) Hush Dart
  • Unlocked/upgraded Cold-resistant Diving Suit*

*To get the upgrade materials you will need to have progressed/access to the (upper >535m) Glacial Area and have the (fully upgraded) Cold-resistant Diving Suit to get to the bottom

Tools and Limitations

Small Fish, Big Fish, Crab-ish, Hiding Fish and SHARKS

There are multiple methods to catch fish but for some there is only one.
This overview should help deciding what you need on your dive.
Some fish behave differently, but those will be covered in their respective area.
