SnowRunner: How to transfer Your Progress from Epic Version to Steam Version

SnowRunner is a 2020 off-road simulation video game developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Home Interactive. You can currently play the game on the Epic Games Store, PS4, and Xbox One. It currently holds a decent 82 MetaCritic score for its PC version, so it might be worth the look on Steam and the Microsoft Store. if you want to transfer your progress from Epic to Steam. here is a simple tutorial for you.

 

Can I transfer my Progress from Epic Version to Steam Version?

Yes. Focus Home has confirmed that you will be able to copy your local save folder over from %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\SnowRunner\base\storage\ to wherever Steam stores it, and it should work.

  1. I just successfully copied my save from Epic to Steam, my Steam save was in “…/steam/userdata/(user number)/1465360/remote”. The Epic files are .DAT and Steam is .CFG, I just changed the file extension and it worked.

  2. Are people who already own the game on EGS literally re-buying the game on steam? Why on earth would anyone do that if you can’t move it for free? I’m quite curious…

    • because the game is good but epic games sucks hard so i rather enjoy a game than getting annoyed by the shitty launcher not working
