Lost Ark Closed Technical Beta: How to Fix Win 7 Error “Cannot connect to the server. Exiting the game. Error Code: [P]”

Lost Ark Closed Technical is now in Beta on Steam now. here is a work solution for you to solve “Cannot connect to the server. Exiting the game. Error Code: [P]” Error in Windows 7.

How to Fix “Cannot connect to the server. Exiting the game. Error Code: [P]” Error on Win 7 (Method Credit to Reaper)

Problem:

Lost Ark fails to contact one of its internal servers on start up (service.maestro.us-east-1.social.games.a2z.com) as it cannot establish a secure connection with the server. The destination server rejects anything below TLS <1.2 whereas the game and the .NET Framework version it ships with try to forcefully contact this server using TLS 1.1.

The solution is to force the .NET installation to use OS TLS protocols instead of whatever the game is directing and disable insecure TLS protocols at OS level so that the default served protocol is TLS 1.2.

Requirements:
Windows 7 Service Pack 1
Download https://files.catbox.moe/nisudf.reg and run it, press yes to any warnings. This will disable TLS protocols <1.2 and force .NET to use OS TLS settings to request negotiation.

Full disclosure:

This may have unintended consequences that could affect other programs/internet connections. To revert, just delete each key listed inside the file from regedit, everything should revert back to normal.

Thanks to Reaper for his great method to fix this error, all credit to his effort. you can also read the original guide from Steam Discussions. enjoy the game.

  1. Seems like an amazing fix and I thank you. However I’m too nervous to try this and hoping that on full release maybe they will update there side to run win 7. If not maybe on full release I would give this a go. Anyone else try this, am I making a bigger deal out of this than necessary and should just install, let me know thank you!
