This guide will show how to unlock all difficulties and skins even with zero progress.
Unlock Everything Guide (Hex Editing)
- Create a clean save file first of your DMC2 HD (after cutscenes, press Start then Save) then exit the game. If you already have a long progress, it’s okay… I guess?
- Locate your save file directory (Steam: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<Your_Steam_Account_ID>\631510\remote) which will show the “dmc2.sav”. Before you proceed, it is important to BACKUP your save file.
- Open your “dmc2.sav” with hex editor (any would work but I used HxD) then change the values of the following offset:
65 – 01
66 – 07
67 – 07
68 – 2F
69 – A4
6A – 6CFor visuals:
then click Save. If your hex editor automatically created a .bak file, kindly move it to another location. - Open DMC2 game again and when you select “Load Game”, Mission Select, Bloody Palace, Trish, and all difficulties will be shown as well as the skins. If you haven’t created a save file for Lucia yet, this would still show after creating one. You will still be able to get Steam achievements from it.
