InfraSpace: Building Resource Calculator

A simple building calculator for a desired resource rate.

This does not take into account efficiency bonuses nor research upgrades nor productivity buildings.

You will need to download the HTML on your local hard-drive or open it in a supported browser.

Introduction

Here is a simple building resource calculator I cobbled together. It is shared on Google Drive with the link:

  • Open this Google Drive link[drive.google.com]
  • Download the HTML file or open directly in the browser (needs to support JavaScript)

Using the calculator is pretty simple:

  • Select a resource from the drop down box
  • Enter in the amount required
  • Choose the rate required (per second or per minute)
  • Hit the calculate button
  • The results show the number of buildings you need to have have in order to achieve the desired rate

Caveats:

  • This does not take into account the efficiency bonuses from adjacent buildings
  • This does not take into account the productivity boosts from research or special buildings
  • This only uses the large miners, if you have not unlocked them yet, just double the number of small miners
  • This uses the carbon processor, if you have not unlocked it yet, just double the number of atmosphere processors

In game, I think the production supply and consumption are given in “per minute” rate. It seems efficiency only decreases the time to process resource.

Feedback is welcome, feel free to edit the code as you like. I’m not sure if I will keep up to date should any of the values change in subsequent patches. If that happens, or if I’ve made an error, you may edit the “data” object (search for “data =”).

Thanks to Arazaki for his great guide, all credit to his effort. you can also read the original guide from Steam Community. enjoy the game.
