All locations of the KK Investigation Notes (alphabetical order).
Introduction
Caution: There seems to be a missable note in Chapter 5, so make sure to pick it up. This can potentially apply to other notes found during missions as well.
KK Investigation Note (Chapter 5) – The Hyakki Yako:
This KK Investigation Note can only be found while playing in the section off the map during Chapter 5. After defeating the first boss, look inside the nearby hut to pick up the note beside a safe.
Akisawa Shrine Area
The first KK Investigation Note in Ghostwire: Tokyo is first obtainable during the mission “KK” in Chapter 2. It is located in KK’s Safehouse, under the calendar just outside of the kitchen.
Hirokawa Shrine Area
In the middle of the Hirokawa Shrine area, go into a side building containing a quiver of arrows at the entrance, opposite the Nostalgic Nekomata stall. Head to the back room and pick up the note near the table.
Kappagaike Torri Gate Area
Found on a bench on top of a rooftop you will come to as part of “The Black Tower” main mission in Chapter 4. This building is right on the southern edge of the Kappagaike Torii Gate area, near the fog.
Katsumi Shrine Area
Purchasable from the Musical Nekomata for 100,000 Meika.
Kuo Shrine Area
Purchasable for 100,000 Meika at the Luster-Loving Nekomata stall.
KK Investigation Note (2/2) – The Dancing Headless Students:
This KK Investigation Note is on the same level as the actual Shrine. It’s sitting on a low red table, opposite a payphone, near the edge of the building.
Noto Shrine Area
The note is very close to the Noto Shrine. Look to the right of the Shrine’s steps to find the note on a small wall, beside some blue crates.
Onten Shrine Area
Purchasable from the Occult Nekomata stall for 100,000 Meika.
KK Investigation Note (2/2) – The Tengu Turf War:
Inside the building directly below the Onten Shrine. Go in and look at the right-hand side to find the note on a low wooden shelf.
Sakano Shrine Area
Although the note is found in the Sakano area, it’s actually quicker to fast travel to the Shimokusa Shrine to find this note. It’s near an elevator directly across from the Shrine.
Shibuya Underground Area
You will come to the Shibuya Underground as part of “The Buried Life” main mission in Chapter 2, but you can return any time after this. While descending the station, you will come across a group of Visitors near an arcade. After dealing with them, head into the arcade and look at the file sitting on top of a red stool, near a game cabinet.
Shiroyama Shrine Area
Purchasable from the Handicraft Nekomata stall for 100,000 Meika.
Tatsui Shrine Area
This KK investigation note is on a mini shrine structure, just outside the left-hand side of the actual Tasui Shrine building.
Utagawa Shopping District Torii Gate Area
Purchasable from the Japanophile Nekomata stall for 100,000 Meika.
KK Investigation Note (2/3) – The Marunouchi Vanishing:
This KK Investigation Note is located in the Sengoku Center Building. You can’t enter the building until the “Pillar of Light” main mission in Chapter 3 takes you here. When you reach the office that needs cleansing while following the cables to the second electrical switch box, enter the side door on the left, near the beginning of the room. The note is on the desk below the TV in this room.
KK Investigation Note (3/3) – The Jukai Soba Excavation:
This note is on a table under a green parasol, right beside the Torii Gate, on its southern side.
Yamaki Shrine Area
Purchasable from the Playful Nekomata stall for 100,000 Meika.
KK Investigation Note (2/2) – The Awakened AI:
At the bottom floor of an apartment complex that has police tape around it. You will come here as part of the “Blindness” main mission in Chapter 3. The note is in the mail lockers at the back.
Yashin Shrine Area
Found at the construction site at the actual Yashin Shrine. It is on some black slabs, near a standing light and a small red generator, on the top level.
