Core #1 — Your First, Handed to You
You don’t need me for this one. The very first core comes as part of the mission to get your CC up and running, and the game points you straight to it. Core #2 — Horizon Isles, Cloud Cruise Graveyard
This one sits in Horizon Isles, at the Cloud Cruise Graveyard. I’d already picked mine up by the time I thought to document it, so I can’t show it sitting there waiting — but the video below walks you to the exact spot you’ll find it at. If you’re anything like me, the graveyard’s clutter makes it easy to scan past, so trust the marker in the footage rather than your gut.
Core #3 — Rover’s Hollow, Behind the Abandoned Geyser Field
For the third core, make your way to Rover’s Hollow and look behind the Abandoned Geyser Field. The “behind” part matters — if you stop at the geysers themselves you’ll come up short. The footage below traces the route so you know exactly which side to approach from.
Core #4 — Rockfall Island, Cave North of Dawn
Number four hides on Rockfall Island, tucked inside a cave to the north of Dawn. Caves are the kind of place I tend to overshoot on the first pass, so watch the video and note the entrance before you go sweeping the whole island. It’s a short trip once you’re pointed the right way.
Core #5 — Anchor Reef, Under a Storage Container
The last core waits at Anchor Reef, on an island to the north, sitting under a storage container. That “under” is the whole trick — the container hides it from a casual glance, and I’d have circled the island twice before spotting it.
