After unlocking Extreme Modification in research, you can put 3 of the same mods under the same weapon to trigger a bonus buff.
This guide will tell you what combination gives what buffs.
Unlocking Extreme Modification
On the research screen, clicking on the special tab would show you the Advanced Research.
- Modular Design – allows you to overwrite a mod once you fill the full grid (24 mods if you have 4 weapons)
- Advanced Mod – this gives the mods a bonus buff (the additional buffs in brackets)
- Extreme Modification – this is what enables the triple mod bonus.
As the text says, you just need 3 of the same mods in the same weapon. It can be in any order (e.g. you can mix the 2 types of mods). This is a bit of a test on RNGesus… but the benefits are worth it.
