Total War: Three Kingdoms is the next major historical game of Total War series. Inspired by Luo Guanzhong’s 14th Century historical novel, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, it’s set in the titular period of ancient China, and it releases in Spring 2019.

The Announcement trailer shows off a gorgeous battle scenes, and introduces several famous heroes from the era. There also shows new battle mechanic in the game: heroes duelling.
Conquer The Ancient China
As we can see from the trailer, Liu Bei, Zhang Fei and Guan Yu standing together, same for other heroes. According to china history and the romance, the heroes and their allied warlords would eventually form the three kingdoms of Cao Wei to the north, Sun Wu to the southeast, and Shu Han in the southwest, after the fall of the most powerful warlord Dong Zhuo. But will three kingdoms form in every game with the influences of player? Or the story changes according to decisions of the player?

Big Changes In Three Kingdoms
A longer range for archers is not what I gonna mention here. Total War: Three Kingdoms is heavily influenced by the romanticized story, in which the heroes possess superhuman combat skill. This will be showed on the battlefield, where your hero can take down over one hundred enemies single-handedly.
The new feature makes the new battle mechanic, heroes duelling, quite important, since winning or losing duels has an obvious effect on your army’s morale.It also makes heroes important for every battle, and the they would not be able to come back if they got killed in the battlefield.

The game will still feature a Classic Mode that offers a much more grounded recreation of the period for players who prefer a historically authentic Total War experience.
Gaming Experience Fully Upgraded
It would still take sometime before the release, but from the gameplay, we can see that the game is obviously improved.
