Guide for planning your Sir Brante and his choices in advance. Chapter 4 and 5 in game have too many branches so only more linear chapters from 1 to 3 get described. Chapter 3 is described only until path choice.
Beware – some details may be wrong or missed, especially conditions for some choices.
Stats Conversion and some tips
In third chapter characters will have his “Adult” stats derived from stats gained in chapter 1 and 2.
Every adult stat is most important for one of the paths (Noble / Priest / Lotless). Still for every path true that if you have all stats above 10 it will open you most options in chapters 3-5.
Conversion of stats is simple:
Determination + Nobility = Valor ( Noble )
Determination + Ingenuity = Scheming ( Lotless )
Determination + Spirituality = Eloquence ( Priest )
Perception + Nobility = Diplomacy ( Noble )
Perception + Ingenuity = Manipulation ( Lotless )
Perception + Spirituality = Theology ( Priest )
All stat have ranks for 0-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20.
In chapter 1 & 2 if you will rise any of stat above 4 you will open special event with additional benefits. You actually can take every special event in chapter 1 and 2.
1. It is hard to advise “best” way for this game but I think it isn’t good choice if you try to achieve “good” ending for your family to sacrifice unity or reputation for stats values. Game give you enough opportunities to increase stats and you can do it in all chapters.
2. If you want to replay from exact scene without starting chapter anew – you can save your progress by backuping folder with your saves: %HOMEPATH%\AppData\LocalLow\SEVER\The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante\Saves
Game saves automatically every time you enter new scene. So just alt+tab, copy save files and place them in some other folder.
Just don’t rename folder if you will be restoring save from backup.
3. As I checked different outcomes I tried to use some cheat engine tables but they wasn’t working properly on current version of the game. So I found another solution – ArtMoney. It can find stat value stored in memory allocated to game process. After stat changes you can filter found addresses by new value. After two value changes it usually give you exact addresses for any stat (including Reputation, Wealth and Unity). So you can edit stat as you see fit.
Just don’t forget to make copy of saves before messing with game!
