State of Decay 2: How to Recover Your Lost Savegame Files (Steam Version)

First of all before you want to recover your svave file you need to download your backed up savegamefiles from steamcloud. This features already enabled default by steam to prevent lost savegames

You can download it from here :

Search for State of decay 2 gamefiles and download all of it

Step 1. Move your downloaded savegamefiles to :C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Local\StateOfDecay2\Saved\Steam\Steam id folder\application id\Release\v2

For example, mine is : C:\Users\Dalvizar1\AppData\Local\StateOfDecay2\Saved\Steam\**********983590*******\******043811****\Release\v2

Step 2. if you dont have these file you can do step below, if you already have skip to step 3!

• Right Click on State of decay 2 game from steam, uncheck steam cloud sync

• Play the game, create new savegamefiles

• Exit the game

• AFter you success move the savegame files you can reenable the steam cloud sync again

Step 3. Rename the files, same to savefiles that has been created itself by the system.For examples :
Downloaded savegame files => %WinAppDataLocal%StateOfDecay2_Saved_Steam_******19835904*****_*****4104381****_Release_v2_SaveGame0.sav

Change to > SaveGame0.sav

Step 4. Enjoy the game again!
