GRANDIA HD Remaster: Quick Walkthrough

Here is a quick walkthrough for Grandia HD Remaster game.

Go!!!

Parm

Recommended Level: 2
Items: 100 GP, Poison Antidote, First Aid Kit
After the CG/anime intro and the voice acted conversations, talk to Gantz (the center boy) to get your mission: to find the remaining three pieces of the Legendary Armor. You can talk to him to get clues where they are. First up, the Shield of Light. Go to the port and look behind a warehouse to find a “Pot Lid”. Next, get the Warrior’s Helmet by going down a set of steps beside the river in the town. The “Battered Pot” is by the wall on the other side. Take them back to Gantz. He smugly says the Spirit Sword is in a locked chest in his house. Head there (it’s in the center of town) and talk to his mother who says his little brother Tentz has the key. Talk to Tentz in the village. The little bugger lost the key by the Cafe. Simply go there (should be right behind him). You’ll know if you’re in the right place if Justin and Sue start crawling. Look right by the water and the key will be yours. Go back to the house and open the chest to get your reward. Go back to Gantz to brag. Uh-oh, they’re in trouble and you don’t want to be. Walk around the boys and get caught. Inside the Seagull Tavern, talk to Lilly twice and have dinner. Talk to Lilly during the eating a few times to hear a cool pirate story. When you’re through, select Justin.

You can talk to Lilly the next morning to save your game. Search Justin’s room for some good items and money. Leave the Tavern and stock up as well as you can at the General Store. There’s a little side quest you can do now. Talk to Maria and find her pin, located by the Museum. You don’t get a reward, but it’s a good time-waster anyways. Go inside the Museum and talk to the curator in the Exhibit Hall. Investigate the statue and break it. Go in the curator’s office and choose the second choice when prompted (no matter what, you’ll have to admit fault). Proceed to leave town.

Marna Sand Road

Recommended Level: 2
Items: 3 Gold Pouches, Baton

A simple straightforward dungeon awaits you. This is a perfect chance to get become a pro at the battle system since the enemies are weak and a recover point is at the entrance. When you want to leave, either follow the road or follow the compass north.

A Sea of Sult

Recommended Level: 3
Items: 5 Gold Pouches, Shin Shoe, Rune Ring, Rock Ax

Enter and talk to the guard at the gate. The letter is shown and he lets you in. Walk around a little bit, listen to some of the bad things about Baal’s army, and go to the north tunnel (looks like an open mouth) to continue your “investigation”. The three witches stop you. Choose the third option to show them the letter. Save and go inside.
Room B1 Head north to hear the troops being given orders and see others that are spying. When you come to a split path, east is the way to go. Listen to the witches then two groups of guards to the south. Head east, north and use the save/recover point. Go north yet again.
Room B2 Follow the compass around and go around the boulders. The path is easy to see and shouldn’t need an explanation. Go in the ruins. Ancient Passageway Flip the switches on either side of the hallways until a door appears that you can walk through. Go into the north door.
Room of Illusions Walk north to the center of the room. When you hear the spooky voice go north yet again. Liete appears and gives an in-depth explanation about the past of the world of Grandia. A new quest is revealed: head for Alent to find the answers. Come back out of the room. Uh-oh! Mullen catches you trying to escape. Pick any answers you want to give him about what you were doing in the ruins. After he’s trapped, head out of the ruins. A statue has mysteriously come to life and has its beak ready for a Justin and Sue sandwich. Time for the first boss fight. Prepare!
—–
BOSS: ROCKBIRD
HP: ???
STRATEGY: Use the almighty Critical attack to knock this feathered fiend back on the IP gauge. If timed right, he won’t even be able to attack.
—–
With that turkey out of the way, you’re automatically placed at the beginning of the tunnel. Leave the military camp and go back to Parm.

Parm

Recommended Level: 4
Items: none

First, head to the General Store and buy some new armor if you didn’t before. You might not need new weapons, but buy them if you have a lot of extra gold. Time to visit your mother, as Sue gives you a not-so- subtle hint when you enter Parm. Do just that and have some dinner. Talk to Lilly and Sue like normal until you’re told to head for the Port to get your answers. Go there afterwards and talk to the men until you find out about Java the adventurer who should have a pass to the New World. His whereabouts are rumored to be the Cafe, so that’s your next stop. Talk to the lady standing in front. Time to find the key to the place. Go back to the Port and talk to more of the men to get the key. Back to the Cafe. Talk to the girl again to give it to her. Watch the little cut-scene with Baal and Mullen. That guy reminds me of Lotor from Voltron for some reason. Anyways, go inside the Cafe at night. Talk to the man in back to find out where Java’s at, then the Cafe owner to get Java’s wallet, the bait to get him to talk to you. Head back to the Seagull Tavern and have some grub with Lilly. It’s daytime after the conversation. Head to Parm Station (located in the southernmost part of town) and talk to the man in front of the gate. He’ll let you by. Go up the stairs and hop aboard the train.

Mines

Recommended Level: 4
Items: 12 Money Pouches, 2 Grenade, Workcloth, Herbs, Def Seed, Wound Sal, Ok Shield, Mi Hammer, Hand Ax

When the train lets you off in the field, go to the southwest part of the area to find Java’s shack. Enter it and get caught “stealing”. After a conversation about adventurers, Java offers the Steamer Pass in exchange for the clearing out of a dungeon in his backyard, the Leck Mines. Go to the west part of the area to find the mine entrance which is now open. Talk to Java if you want to rest or save. Enter the mines. Room 1 Follow the left train track all the way until you reach the next room. Room 2 Follow the right train track. When you get to a bridge, you can fall off of it to get a Hand Ax below. If you want to climb up (you’ll have to if you want to move on in the game), press the X button by the wire hanging down and up on the D-pad to climb up. Cross the bridge and continue following that track. When that ends, take the one next to it, and so on until you see the save point. Go into the next room. Deepest Depths Get all the money scattered around and go up onto the pedestal with the orcs. Boss fight!
—–
BOSS: ORC KING, 2 ORCS
HP: 385, 70, 70
STRATEGY: Kill the two orcs first with combos: you don’t need them knocking you back on the IP gauge and doing damage. When you’re left alone with the king, use Sue’s Pufy Kick attack and Justin’s V-slash. Finish the bruiser up with Criticals.
—–
The roof starts collapsing. Come out of the room and watch the cart scene with Java. After all that, he gives you the Steamer Pass and fills you in that adventurers have to be alone (no Sue).

Parm

Recommended Level: 5
Items: none

Get off the train, leave the station. Justin tells Sue he has to go alone and she runs off, coming back to kick him in the shin. Go to the Seagull Tavern and talk to Lilly. End the dinner after talking to her at the table a few times. The next morning, go downstairs and watch as Justin vows to become a better adventurer than any of his relatives. Go to the port and talk to the guard that always blocked your way before. With reluctance, he lets you by and you’re free to mingle with the travelers and sailors. When you’re ready to leave, walk on the pier and talk to the ticket-taker right in front of the ship’s entrance. Justin reads the mystery letter and goes inside.

Go!!!!

Steamer

Recommended Level: 6
Items: none

Go below deck by entering the door right beside the bridge. Take the right entrance and you’ll be in Steamer Passageway 2. Explore the rooms within and talk to a few people. Go back to Steamer Passageway 1 and something that looks awfully similar to Pooey will run away from the room. Follow it. Up on deck, you’ll find the mystery stowaway. Talk to her twice and to the captain twice choosing the second choice. After being “freed” the friends get a job they didn’t want. When they wake up, talk to the first man you see to get a Cabin Key. He’ll let you save the game as well. Go upstairs and talk to the first sailor. Choose the first responses and receive a Beef Jerky for your trouble. Go to Steamer Passageway 1 then into the second 1st Class room. Talk to the lady and press X to clean the bathtub. A pitiful reward is yours, but it was worth it for the experience of being a janitor, eh? Head to the lounge and talk to the gambler for a game of chance. I picked tails and got a 100G reward but it might be a random guess. Up to the deck for your real work duties. Talk to the man and find out your “mission”: to scrub the deck. I don’t think there’s a way to perform to his standards, but if you really want to know how, listen to his instructions. Go back to the sailor’s quarters and speak to the man to rest. The next day, scrub again and rest. Then back to the deck yet again. Walk to the front of the ship and watch the sequence introducing Feena. Listen to all three choices about Feena’s life. The sky becomes overcast. Go inside the bridge and talk to Feena. Leave it and return to the front of the ship. Talk to Feena after her speech and pick the third choice. This would be a great time to go to the 2nd Class area and stock up on accessories.

Ghost Ship

Recommended Level: 6
Items: 9 Gold Pouches, Mana Egg (from the boss), 2 Wound Sals, Adm Sword, Pirate Hat, Resu. Potion, Smarna

Get up on the crane (press X by the rope) and walk across to the Pirate Ship. Go down the hole on the right. Use the save point as needed and enter the west opening. Go in the opening in the floor on the west side. Go up the rope by the wall and into the door across the platform. Take the right door. Go down the crane rope onto the box. Follow the wood around to the doorway, go in. Use the save point here and then enter the Captain’s room. Examine the diary on the desk and prepare to fight the third boss of the game.
—–
BOSS: SQUID KING, RIGHT TENTACLE, LEFT TENTACLE
HP: 592, 356, 438
STRATEGY: Kill the right arm first since it heals the others with normal combo attacks. Have Feena use Burn! centered on the main body so that it hits everything each turn. Take out the left arm next, then use V-slash and Puffy Kick on the body. An easy boss if you know what to do.
—–
Come out of the room after the quaking. Examine the door ahead to have Feena pick the lock. Go to the resting quarters after your timely escape and sleep. When you wake, you’ll be in New Parm!
New Parm
Recommended Level: 6
Items: none

Leave the port and go into the city. Take note of the shop and inn on the left and right. You can trade in the Mana Egg you just got for your first spell. I’d suggest giving Sue Water, so she can heal the stronger attackers Justin and Feena. Anyway, head inside the Adventurer’s Society building in the center of New Parm. Talk to the secretary until you get the password. Go in front of the office and pick the second choice. Enter and talk to Pakon over and over until Justin decides he doesn’t want go through the bull to become a member. Leave the town and choose Merrill Road as your next destination.
Merill Road
Recommended Level: 6
Items: 5 Gold Pouches, Mana Egg, Earrings

One thing to keep in mind here is to watch out for the spiders perching on the cliffs above who’ll gladly ambush you in a moment’s notice. Keep your eyes open. Go down the grassy path inbetween the rock cliffs. When the path branches off, go north for a bunch of items. When the path splits yet again, go east then west for a Mana Egg. When you arrive at the viewpoint, go north then west at the junctions. At the next viewpoint, go north and exit the area.
Feena’s House
Recommended Level: 7
Items: none

Go northeast and enter the cabin. Surprise, she’s not there! Examine her pretty panties on the clothesline and she catches Justin in the act of perversion. After she leaves, go outside to see what’s up. Palom won’t get over his obsession. After Justin tries to save her, Palom’s stooge Master Chang knocks the stuffing out of you.
New Parm’s Church’s Underground
Recommended Level: 7
Items: 4 Gold Pouches, Shell Shield, Iron Mace, Mana Egg
Go back to the city of New Parm and to the church in the western part. It seems the door’s locked, so what to do? Check the back shed. Inside it is an opening to underground which you should enter. Go around the straightforward path. Turn the wheel you come across to lower the water level and go north around the path. Turn the next wheel and go back north. Cross the newly uncovered path on the water. Turn the next wheel. Head south into the tunnel. Turn the wheel and go back to the stairs. Enter the northeast side passage down them. Get the Mana Egg and return to the stairs. Now go northwest into another passage. Follow it up the stairs and into another set of stairs which leads into a shaft. Examine the action icon by the left wall. Enter the room and use the save point. Get up on the boxes and follow them to the door above. Go inside. You’re almost late! Run across the wood planks to the end. Just when you think you’ve got her back, the stooge ambushes you.
—–
BOSS: MASTER CHANG
HP: 738
STRATEGY: The big thing to notice about this boss is his exceptional speed. If you don’t think you’ll be able to pull of a skill or spell in time, don’t select it. Stick to mostly combos since they’re fast and have the person with the biggest gap on the IP gauge ahead of Chang do the healing (which should be done if HP falls below 35). Good thing his defense is pretty weak.
—–
And victory is yours. The gang leaves with Feena’s new independence from the Society. Come out of Feena’s house the next morning to find her taking in the breeze. Watch the cut-scene with Baal and Mullen. Seems they have something sneaky going on at the Dom Ruins which will be your next stop after the little mini-dungeon next.

Rangle Mountains

Recommended Level: 8
Items: 7 Gold Pouches, Y Medal, 2 Mana Eggs, Move Seed, Pow Fruit, Ginseng

Going through the Rangle Mountains is fairly straightforward and now is a time you should take to buff up your magic skills. Look at what the requirements are for certain skills and spells and try to get a few before leaving. Go straight north and follow the edge around where a Mana Egg is ripe for the taking. Continue around and exit the area. Go up the cliffs. Feena makes the party take a rest. The next morning, feel free to use the save point. Now head south. If you go farther, there will be birds resting on the rock. Watch out so they won’t ambush you. Go around the rock ledge where the save point was, down the ledge. Follow it completely around and slide down another ledge. Another Mana Egg is secluded here. Keep following the rock and it’ll take you out of the forest. Stock up on weapons, armor, and whatever else in New Parm, then continue your journey in the Dom Ruins.

Go!!!!!

Dom Ruins
Recommended Level: 10
Items: 13 Gold Pouches, Miracle, Speed Seed, 2 Blue Pills, Holy Mace, Dynamite, Herbs, Strength Seed, Jade, Resu. Potion, Mana Egg

This is quite a long dungeon, so make sure you take care of bathroom and drink breaks beforehand. When you enter, you’ll see weird creatures scurrying around. Make sure Justin’s equipped with the Ax before you decide to take any of them on, since it seems that’s the only thing that will deal any real damage. To get out of this interesting maze, go straight east and go around the trees to a clearing in the southeast. Follow that around and you’ll see another clearing. Go southeast again through the pathway. At yet another clearing, go straight south. Follow the wall to get to the next area. Go east within the fence then step out as soon as you see an opening. Go east again. At the end of the fence, go inside the opening and save. Head back out and into the ruins “tunnel”. You’ll fight some orcs that’ll give you a Holy Mace (the only thing that hurts ghosts) Go south at the split path and inside the internal section of the ruins. Follow the path and keep to the middle to the pillars don’t hit you. Open the door and go in. Get on the vine and climb up (press X). Hop off and into the opening. Continue into the rotunda room with a lever. Press it and enter the southwest door. At the path break take the southern route then southern again at the next one. Follow it to the cliff outside. If you walk on the bridge, it will collapse. Go in the door below and use the save point if you wish. Next, take the west path (the other is a dropoff to the first room) then east on the next one. Step on the button on the cliff then press the lever in the room before. Go in the door and press the lever at the end. Head back into the room, out, and east. Go directly across at the path break then northeast. You’ll see a vine at the end. Climb up it and into the next room. On the left will be a Mana Egg. At the next fork, pick southeast and press the lever in the next rotunda room. Use the save point and item stash place as necessary. Walk ahead and fight a pretty easy boss (should be if you have your magics around level 4 or so).
—–
BOSS: GANYMEDE (front and back)
HP: 1500/1500
STRATEGY: Basically, just wail on the monster with attack magics. Ones with ranges are the ones you should choose. Earth ones should only be used for raising/lowering defense since it seems resistant to others.
—–
Go ahead on the path that is now cleared into the magic room. After a short conversation with Liete, Justin learns that his quest for Alent and the lost Angelou civilization is far from over. Come back out the way you came. Go across the rotunda room, down the slide, and out of the room. Return across the intersecting pedestals and pass the save point. Climb up the vine. At the next intersection, pick north then east out of the room. Press the next lever. Enter the southeast door. Climb up the vine and out, then go straight south to leave the entrance. When the gang thinks everything’s going great, a humanoid youth is found collapsed and hurt. The Garlyles were in wait the whole time, it seems.
Mountains
Recommended Level: 11
Items: 2 Herbs, Antidote, 3 White Sulfa, Smelling Salts, Life Seed, Weeds

Come out of Feena’s house and examine the fence to the side. Go into the Herb Mountains. There are a ton of paths you can use to find the Red Sulfa and it would take a few pages to write, so I’ll give a simple yet effective strategy for finding it: work your way from the outside in towards the center. If you reach a dead end, back up and find another route in. Eventually, you’ll come to a point where you can see it off a cliff side. Slide down and pick it up, then go back to the house. The next morning, leave the house to look for the kid. He’s playing his flute and having a good old time, so talk to him and see what’s up. Ambush by the Garlyle Forces!
Area 51
Recommended Level: 11
Items: 4 Gold Pouches, Resu. Potion, Ult Drink, Soldier Uniform, Officer Uniform, Arm Saber, Army Boots, Army Dart

When you’re left to roam free, examine the pipe that’s glowing. After the guard is put down for the count, leave the room and talk to Feena, then go into the next room. Enter the door and grab the key from the guard. Leave the room and proceed to get your butt handed to you by soldiers. Pick up the key that Leen dropped, go to the next room and rescue Sue and Feena. Leave that room. Go up the barrels into the air ducts and crawl around for a while. You can go up to “windows” and overhear what guards are saying or fight with a few. Eventually you’ll reach a room with a lock and eight combinations. Unless you’re unbelievably lucky, you won’t get the right code so go in the next series of ducts. Listen to Nana, Saki, and Mio give you more-than-subtle clues about it then go back to the lock and enter the following: Right, Right, Left, Left, Down, Up, Down, Up. Go in the door, head downstairs, use the save point, enter the room. Talk to the humanoid then examine the crank. Voila, it opens the cage. Leave the room with Ren (now the Babel syndrome is over). In the next room, Saki and some goons show up to make sure the creature doesn’t leave the premises.
—–
BOSS: SAKI, 3 PRIVATES
HP: 1000/110/110/110
STRATEGY: Take the privates out first with attacks that hit range or all enemies. Try to fit Saki in a few of those. When they’re gone, wail on her with tons of magic and skills.
—–
Enter the south door after you get the Master Key from her. Now you can unlock any doors you want and get some goodies. Follow the path and then Nana comes down the stairs to stop you.
—–
BOSS: NANA, 3 PRIVATES
HP: 900/110/110/110
STRATEGY: Use the same one as for Saki.
—–
Enter the “warehouse” place and follow the compass to the base exit. Make sure to save before this though. At the end, Mio wants to give out an early execution.
—–
BOSS: MIO, 3 PRIVATES
HP: 700/110/110/110
STRATEGY: Get rid of the grunts, then just attack Mio with normal attacks. This girl moves as fast as Master Chang and has a nasty habit of casting spells that cause status effects. Luckily, she doesn’t have a lot of HP.
—–
Head into the room now after saving at the point. Go downstairs and into the train door.
Train
Recommended Level: 12
Items: 2 Gold Pouches, Crimson Potion, OFC Badge

Go in the next room after pulling the brake and the sequence with the gang. Stormtroopers (or something similar) raid the train and you’ll have to put up with a series of fights. In the first car after going down the rope, fight the two Private groups and move to the next. Fight the next group and move ahead. In the next room, kill the two Sergeant groups and examine the brakes. Watch the sequence with the girls being left out to dry and arrival into the Misty Forest. Save at the point north.
Misty Forest & Luc Village
Recommended Level: 12
Items: 7 Gold Pouches, Bao Fruit, Weak Weed

From the save point, follow the path keeping a northern bearing. At the first clearing, follow the trees north and then west. At the next break, go east and across the stepping stone on the stream. Then go east and the entrance to Luc Village will be seen. Enter. Talk to Ren at the gate and gain two goals: find the Village Chief and talk to him, then meet Ren at his house. Take some time to explore the village a little, checking out the weapon shop, guard towers (to get a view of the whole town), the item stash place in Ren’s house, or the save point. When you’re done having fun, go talk to the Chief in his home located in the east section of Luc. He says to stay in the village, you must find… a shrubbery! Okay, so it’s really just a small bottle of nectar at the foot of a statue on the God of Light’s mountain. Proceed there (it’s the gate by the save point).

Here We GO!

God of Light’s Mountain
Recommended Level: 12
Items: 10 Gold Pouches, Para Charm, Life Seed, Resu. Potion, Mist Whip, Light Am

Inside the dungeon, continue on the path until the first split. Go west until you come to another one. Pick the western one, then follow the path under the wooden supports. Pick west yet again at the next break and you’ll come to a pass marker. Go north after reaching it and enter the peak area. This path is really easy and only diverts for locations with treasures. Grab the jar at the statues feet and run back down the mountain. No, you won’t have to face a boss. After the peak, go due south and follow the tree and rock edges back to town. Go show the Chief the shrubbery, err, nectar. Talk to him a total of four times. I’d suggest going back in the mountain to level up your magic to about 6 or so.Luc’s Attacked & Misty Forest
Recommended Level: 13
Items: 16 Gold Pouches, Crimson Potion, 2 Cholla, Resu. Potion, 2 Bao Fruits, Panacea, Oracle Staff, Smarna, Ginseng, Speed Seed

Enter Ren’s house and spend the night by talking to his mother. Leave the house after the loud noise is heard and after receiving your top secret mission from the Chief, go back to the Mountain. Fight Sergeants along the way and use the same route as before to get to the peak. After the statue breaks and the ensuing guilt trip ends, leave the mountain. Back in Luc, take the east exit into the Misty Forest. A few steps into it, the nut is used to clear up things a little. Use the save point if you need it, then take these directions at the next few path breaks: east, north, east. You’ll pass a marker. Go east at the next break and enter the second area. Follow the path directly around and over the stream stone. Take the northeast path and south across the rock over the lake. In the third area, take the east path. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find my way back to the entrance to be able to write a walkthrough of this one, but keep a generally northern track and follow the compass, and everything should be allright. Then you finally reach the End of the World!

End of the World
Recommended Level: 14
Items: 6 Gold Pouches, Speed Seed, Agility Fruit, Gust Knife
, Trust
This dungeon was pretty fun since it’s totally straightforward unlike the Misty Forest. Push the block on the path then run away as it falls. Cross over it and continue. Go in the insert with the blocks overhead. Press the left action icon. In the next area, go up the left stairs and onto the platform. Take the left stairs again and another platform. Pick the right path and examine the action icon at the end. Camp in area 3 and use the save and stash points as needed. Continue. Push the button and get on the platform. Push the next button and move onto the next platform. In the next area, wait for the monster to go under the trembling block and watch as it falls down and goes boom. Two more platforms later, examine the bird statue. It comes alive and flies away (sound familiar?). Press the exposed button and fight the easy sucker. Hit the next action button and go to area 5. Run fast through this place so you don’t get crushed. Go up the risen staircase. Go up, press the button. Press the next action icon. Camp and stash/save. Pick the platform to the left, push the button and run. One more platform and an action icon later, and you’re in area 7. Pick the right platform and smack the next two buttons. Head back down and up the other staircase. Run so you don’t get hurt. Press the action icon and go up even more. Walk straight through and press the icon. Area 9 time. These three birds aren’t even tough enough to be called bosses. Whack them with some great range attack skills. Hit the button. Go left and camp. Trudge on, and behold the End of the World. Or is it? Check out the machines and get a fun little ride to the bottom.

Valley of Flying Dragon
Recommended Level: 14
Items: 13 Gold Pouches, Resu. Potion, Cholla, Antidote, Bamo Fruit, Vaccine, Magic Fruit, Fire Charm, Power Seed, 2 Mana Eggs

At first, the dongeon may seem difficult since you only have Justin and Feena. Around Area 2 or 3, you’ll face Gadwin, best knight of Dight. Don’t panic when he does you his Dragon Cut Technique. Yes, it does around 9950 damage, but it’s part of the story to lose this battle. Anyway. He’ll join your team with Sue. Now you have no reason to find battles difficult. The rest of the dongeon is pretty easy, almost straight-foward. Just watch out for flower traps. They’ll try to eat you. It takes you out HPs, and if you get caught in them too often, you might have a bad surprise in your next battle.

Village of Dight[/u]
Recommended Level: 15

When you enter the village, Gadwin will leave your party in order to speak to the elder. Go to the inn and meet the unforgetable Guido. After you talk to him, stay at the inn. The innkeeper looks like a jar, left to the entrance. When you wake up, Gadwin will freak out seeing the rain. Find him outside talking with the elder. You’ll learn that two knights need to go to Typhoon Tower in order to make the toxic rain stop. Justin will accept to go with Gadwin. Now before you go to that big dongeon, check the shops to buy new equippement’s parts and new spells. Now, to Mount Typhoon !

Mount Typhoon & Typhoon Tower
Recommended Level: 15
Items: 13 Gold Pouches, Mushroom Shield, Move Shroom, 2 Mana Eggs, Demon Amulet, 2 Healthweeds, Mage Seed, Disease Charm, Confusion Charm, Sickle, Hail Bow, Pirate Helmet

In here, let the enemies come to you. They move fast and the last thing you want is to be ambushed. You can cross mushrooms and rocks over the acid rivers. Go north and up the hill. Cross the east rock and go north again. There’s a Mana Egg ripe for picking. Go back down the hill and to the west. Take the mushrooms to the top. Go north and cross the mushrooms at the river. North, and yet more fungi. Go northeast and into the peak area. Cross the mushrooms in the northwest. Follow the path uphill. Use the compass to find the structure in the center and enter it when you’ve finished talking to the friendly insectoid inhabitants of the area. Use the save point. From there, go northwest to find another Mana Egg. Press the green button on the floor. Go up the new staircase then take the northernmost staircase. Slide down the rope at the end and press the button. Get onto the staircase and press the switch that rotates the platform. Head back the way you came to the first room. Downstairs, pass the save point and go in the other direction. Take the red stairs. Pick the northern one and head across and find the save point. I think you know what’s coming up! One staircase later and you’re forced to fight the insect king.
—–
BOSS: SERPENT (MEAN HEAD, NICE HEAD, HOT HEAD, BAD HEAD, BODY)
HP: 486/800/516/600/1071
Before attacking the main body, destroy the four heads, even though it takes more take. Don’t use Gadwin’s Dragon Cut Technique ’cause it’s completly useless. The recovery head should be taken off at least on second shot. Use Justin’s Midair Cut, Sue’s magics like Crackle and Feena’s fire magic.
—–
Step now on the switch to make appear a stairway. Climb it and you’ll get to the Mirror Room. Assits to the nice cinematic scene and go back to Dight Village with the Spear.

Dight Village
Recommended Level: 16
Back to Dight Village, talk to the elder and put the Spear at it’s place in order to have the spirits’ protection on Dight. Gadwin will decide to follow you to Gumbo Village, a warm festival place … apparently.

Lama Mountain
Recommended Level: 16
Items: 13 Gold Pouches, Yellow Pill, Sil Orb, Healthweed, Dragon Killer, Eye Stone

The type of dongeon usually called useless. At least, in the middle, you’ll camp for the night. The second part can be kind of confusing with all the moving platforms, but I suggest you try them all in order to find every items and the Mana Egg. Whatever the way you take, you’ll end up at the end of the dongeon.

Well ok

Gumbo Village & Volcano
Recommended Level: 16
Items: 14 Gold Pouches, 2 Healthweeds, Blue Potion, Mana Egg, Dragon Scales, Def Seed, Gem Chain

When you enter the “warm” Gumbo Village, the party will notice the strange cold air. After talking to a couple of people, you’ll notice that something is really going wrong. Visit the elder’s hut and talk to him. Strangely, he’ll begin a festifal in honor of the couple that is Justin and Feena. When you’re finished, sleep at the guest’s house and go back see the elder. He’ll catapult you on the volcano. Nice. Really. This is a nice place to built up your levels. First, kill some fire dogs and earn a raincloud staff. Equip it to Justin so he can kill the monsters in one single hit. Explore a little around the save point to get a Mana Egg. Proceed foward and meet Sue and Gadwin. Justin will decides to beat the Fire Dragon in order to restore things in Gumbo. So head north.

BOSS: MADRAGON
HP: 2150 STRATEGY: This guy’s even easier than the Serpent. Simply use critical skill attacks on the part of the body that is higher on the IP gauge. When you’re out of SP, wail on him with ice magic. Make sure not to use fire though.
—–
When the battle is over, head toward the exit. At half of the way, your party will exit automaticly.Gumbo Village[/u]
Recommended Level: 18

You’ll get thanked by the villagers and the elder will organized an other festival in honor the dragon killers. When you walk alone with Feena, head to the solitary island on the beach and admire on of the most beautiful scene of the game. At the morning, you’ll have breakfast with Sue, Feena and Gadwin. Now you’ll finally going to reach the Twin Towers. Go talk to the villager who ownes a boat and he’ll take you to the Twin Towers. But first you have a labyrinth to cross.

The Twin Towers
Recommended Level: 18
Items: 15 Gold Pouches, Speed Seed, Vacuum Scroll, Spell Break, Magic Block Charm, Revival, Death Charm, Forest Charm, Power Seed, Move Break, Angel’s Darts.

Proceed toward the North gate, the only opened one. Now the labyrinth. You’ll face few enemies there, but they can affect your status. Anyway. You’ll stay on the same floor all the dongeon. When you step on a switch, two blocking rocks will go back into the floor and the others will get out of the ground. When you see a gate with two guards, talk to them and you’ll be able to enter the Twin Towers Territory. Save and enter the center tent. Leen and Mulen shall enter too. You’ll get warped after in the ruins. Feena will wake up with Mulen. Justin on the other side is alone. Proceed into the only part with monsters of the dongeon until you see Leen. The rest is only interactive cinema scenes.

Dight Village[/u]
Recommended Level: 18

Back to Dight, Sue will fall out. So you’ll have to go the Vanishing Hill without her ( yeah ! 🙂

The Vanishing Hill
[[/b][/u]b]Recommended Level: 18
[[/b]b]Items: 7 Gold Pouches, Life Seed, Healthweed, Wind Charm

From Gumbo Village, go back to Dight to learn about how to cross the Mermaid Sea from the Elder. Go in the geezer’s house and get the info you need. After the little fainting spell from Sue, head for the Mysterious Vanishing Hill. Whoa, what a title. Go west on the path and use the save point. Press the buttons to lower the block paths. Keep in mind that only swords can hurt the crab enemies around here. Pick the east path and get the silver key in the box. Oh boy, a whole slew of enemies have a craving for adventurer stew. Fight them if you wish, then back to the save point. Open the huge gate in the middle. The camera switches, which could only mean one thing:
—–
BOSS: MASSACRE MACHINE
HP: 1800
STRATEGY: Use your strongest attacks on this jabronie and you should be more than fine. It didn’t do a single point of damage to any of my characters.
—–
Watch the cut scene with Sue. Take the platform up then east. Take the next one down. Push the button and go up the new set of stairs. Press the other button and head back down for the gold key. Walk back up the hill, go near the edge and fall down. Enter the doorway and back to the save point. This time go west and open the door at the end. Take the platform up and run across the bridge before it disappears and you have to fight a few extra baddies. One platform later and the camera changes yet again.
—–
BOSS: MASSACRE MACHINE
HP: 2000
STRATEGY: The same as the other one, except this one’s a little tougher.
—–
Continue on and push the buttons. You have to do them in a certain order to make the stairs rise up in order. To reset and try again, push the south one. Grab the orb and head back to Dight, more specifically, Dr. Alma’s. After a tearful announcement, go back to the Mysterious Vanishing Hill. Head south into the cave area and examine the device in the back. Watch the sequence and grab some Kleenex.

Half way maybe!!

Dight Village
Recommended Level: 19
Find Sue at Dight Village and Justin will decide to use the Orb to teleport Sue in Parm ( Sincerly, I would have only left her in Dight and use the Orb to teleport in Alent, but the farthest is Sue, the best it is, right ? 8) So Jutin will head to Vanishing Hill and say good boy to Sue ( Finally !!! 🙂Valley of Flying Dragon
Recommended Level: 19
Remember where you met Gadwin the first time ? Well that’s where you have to go. He’ll challenge you in a fight ( really, I would have never thought of that even on second )( .. by the way, I’m being sarcastic )
—–
BOSS: GADWIN
HP: 1525
STRATEGY: Use any spells, moves, or combos you think necessary. He does 0 damage no matter what.
—–
Now return to Dight Village.

Dight Village
Recommended Level: 19
Take Gadwin’s boat.

Gadwin’s boat
Recommended Level: 19

I hope you were expecting something there with Feena and Justin alone on a boat in the middle of a sea. Too bad that mermaid screwed up all the atmosphere ( stupid mermaid !8( After talking to the beautiful mermaid, you’ll arrive at the final dongeon of Disc 1.

Pirate” Island
Recommended Level: 19

Items: 6 Gold Pouches, Rain Weed
I suggest you don’t loose too much time in fights, because there aren’t any save points before the boss. The island is really short, only two areas. When you reach the group of mermaids, you’ll have to enter a cave. You’ll face the last boss.
—–
BOSS: GRINWHALE, LURE
HP: 1985/1733
STRATEGY: Range attacks work really well especially Justin’s new Dragon Cut if you have it. Heal when HP reaches about 70 or so and you shouldn’t have a problem.
—–
Your party will go back alone to the boat.
You’ll finally reach East Elencia

New Adventure

Virgin Forest
Recommended Level: 21
Items: 18 Gold Pouches, Slouch Weed, Thor’s Fury, Whistle, Healthweed, Water Charm, Run Seed, Resu. Potion, Golden Potion, Mage Seed
Upon arriving on yet another new land area, take this time to level up your magics. Battles will be harder now and magics will boost your stats. Run into the helicopter plants to get hurt (and thus increase your water experience by healing). From the boat, go south a little ways and take the first east path. Take the northern branch. The big flowers you’ll see are cannons that will shoot you to various parts of the forest. Take the northeast path when you reach them and follow the path around. Go south at the next break. You’ll know if you’re in the right area if you see another helicopter plant. Who’s up here but Guido! The strange Mogay salesman puts the guys up for a night (for a small fee of course). Use him to rest if you need it in the future. Continue on the path going east at the first break. Examine the action icon to cross the lilly pads. Follow the path around to another water area. Use the second action icon to cross some more pads. One more action icon and head northeast then east. Some little demihuman kid runs away from you. Continue and fall hook, line, and sinker into the hole-in-the-ground trap. After the little introductory sequence of Rapp, go south of the rock and use the save point. Continue ahead and fight the obligatory boss.
—–
BOSS: TREANT (BODY, ARM, FLOWER)
HP: 2249/1366/1385
STRATEGY: Use Justin’s Dragon Cut and other skills and spells that are range or hit all enemies. Keep in mind the creature is weak against fire.
—–
Now that Rapp has admitted he had the wrong opinion of you, continue on your journey to leave the forest. Look out for animals that will try to sneak up on you. Turn around and they’ll run back into the bushes. Go south then east and look out for monsters dropping out of the tall flowers. Go north and at the marker, east and out of the area.

Cafu Village
Recommended Level: 22
The usual. Check shops, inn and explore. You’ll learn that Rapp is the grandson of the village’s elder. Go meet him in a off-ground tent, then head toward the Petrified Forest.

Petrified Forest & Tower of Doom
Recommended Level: 22 – 23
Items: 28 Gold Pouches, Def Seed, Para Charm, Life Seed, Mana Egg, Magic Seed, Cookies, Rescue Set, 2 Run Seeds, Home Run Hammer, Plug Suit

This is another one of those filler areas. You’ll come up in ancient Cafu. Then Justin wil decide to go and destroy Domm Tower ( you know him, no pressure at all ! ) Find the mana egg. Continue until the exit. Pretty easy, not much fights.

Doom Tower
Recommended Level: 23
When you enter, you get attacked by a weird stong woman. Rapp will get knock out before the fight, so you’ll only have Justin and Feena for that fight.
—–
BOSS: MILDA
HP: 2800
STRATEGY: Wail on this broad with either your skills or combo attacks. She’ll go down in a heartbeat if you’re strong enough.
—–
After waking up in the warehouse you get her as a team member whether you like it or not. Come out of the warehouse after saving and go north around the fence and sheds. Enter the building. Take the east door and into the only door in the hallway. Press the action icon by the wall. Three doors later and head up the stairs. Begin on the east path then use the northern branch. Head through a door and downstairs. After two doors, avoid the lasers and enter yet another door. Break the control panel to get rid of those things (and some of the locks). Head back to level 2. This time take the south path but dart into the side door first. Enter the west door, examine the action icon, then back to the main room of level 2. Take the north path, use the stairs and save. Take the south door, go around the other side and out. Turn the switches by the wall off to open some doors with monsters and items in them. Keep them on when you want to proceed. Go upstairs when you’re ready and watch the sequence with the being known as Gaia. To leave the tower after the not-so-peaceful event, take a direct south path. Go back to Cafu.

Cafu Village
Recommended Level: 25

During the evening, Cafu Village will get attacked by the Garlyle Forces. Just beat the soldiers and find Leen destroy a Gaia Battler. You’ll probably have there a big surprise. Milda will suggest you to follow her to Laine in order to learn more about Alent and the Icarians.

Zil Deserts
Recommended Level: 26
Items: 10 Gold Pouches, Energy Ring, Cactus Thorns, 2 Resu. Potions, Cactus Armor, Def Seed, Anklet

Only two areas. Head south. In Zil Desert, you can find two secret dongeons. The best is to do them when your final party is done. If you want to have the walkthrough of them, just click here. It was done by Zero_.

Zil Padon
Recommended Level: 26
A village composed with three races of people. Explore a bit, but I don’t suggest you buy stuff, you’ll soon reach Laine. Beware, they’re some better stuff in Zil Padon than in Laine, and some stuff in Laine is better that in Zil Padon, so use my shops list to choose wisely what you gonna buy.

Yikes!!

Savanna
Recommended Level: 26
Items: 13 Gold Pouches, Move Seed, Blue Potion, 2 Mana Eggs

Just head south and you’ll find the exit in no time. You can explore east if you want. In the south-western part of the map, ther’s a hole in the rock which leads to the third and final optional dongeon in the game ( just, … don’t go there yet, ok ? Don’t go there ! )Brinan Plateau
Recommended Level: 26
Items: 5 Gold Pouches, Restraint Walnut, Power Seed, Crampons, Silence Sword, Life Seed, Explosion Charm

The final leg of your journey to Laine Village is through this two-part mountain range. As usual, keep heading south. When you fight the monsters there, the most intelligent and logic thing to do is to equip fire weapons and use fire spells. Boost a bit here. Now, finally, after all the hard way … Laine.

Laine
Recommended Level: 27
Now is the time to buy stuff in the shops. Next, go see Darling, Milda’s husband. I knew Laine’s women were wierd, but the men … anyway. You have to see the two other wise men of Laine after. But the third has lost his horn, which contains all his knowledge, meaning you’ll have to get it back ( who else would anyway ? )

Abandoned Village of Laine
Recommended Level: 27
Items: 13 Gold Pouches, Iron Clog, Salmon, 2 Primeribs, Power Seed, Defense Fruit, Mana Egg, Warp Staff, Wolf Boots

This is a maze, a real one. Entering a door will warp you in an other area or spot on the map. In the first area, you need to go through the door in the extreme southwest of the map, then go to the building to the north of where you reappear in order to reach Area 2. Head north and hang a right until you’re going south again. Take the next road to the west until the end and you’ll teleport to a new section of the map. Now just head to the east and enter the third area. After a bit, you’ll find an other Gaia Battler.
—–
BOSS: GAIA BATTLER (BODY, R. HAND, L. HAND)
HP: 3567/2528/2573
STRATEGY: Justin’s Heaven and Earth Cut (if you have it) works wonders. Just stick to range attacks and others that hit all enemies and you’ll be fine.
—–
Get the Horn of Knowledge from the chest and exit from the maze.

Laine
Recommended Level: 28

Go see Dorling to give him his Horn. He’ll tell you to go at Zil Padon where you’ll be able to reach the temple where lies the Medal of Knowledge.

Zil Padon
Recommended Level: 28
Go at the fountain. Then, go at the Mogay’s Elder house, in the middle of the Mogay section of town. You’ll meet Guido. When he asks you why you want to go to Alent, answer ” I want to protect my world” and you’ll be accepted by the Mogays. Return to the fountain and enter the ruins.

Zil Padon’s Ruins
Recommended Level: 28
Items: 22 Gold Pouches, Pretty Jewel, Thunder Arrow, Resu. Potion, 2 Run Seeds, Warp Shoe, Mage Seed, 2 Power Seeds, Miracle, All-Around Seed, Lightning Charm, Def Seed, Main Gauche, Counter Ring, Mana Egg; ( Other part of the ruins ) 8 ? Gold Pouches, Revival, Mag Fruit, Demon Eye Stone, Power Seed, 2 Speed Seeds

This is a nice place to boost up your levels of weapons and spells a bit. Now first go south to get to a section with a couple of nice treasures. Go back to the entrance. Head west to work your way through the rest of the ruins. The dongeon may seem confusing at first, but once you’re at the floating platform, the rest is just straight-foward. When you get to a save point, continue foward and meet the boss.
—–
BOSS: RUIN GUARD (BODY, AX, BOOMERANG)
HP: 4500/2350/2350
STRATEGY: Use range attacks then ones that hit all enemies. This guy didn’t get a single turn!
—–
When that is done, recover & save and come back to get the Medal of Knowledge. Return again where there’s the save point and … surprise ! Gralyle Forces have decided to explore the ruins. And this time, General Baal has moved his ♥♥♥ from his throne to come. After the scene, head back and jump down the clift. Continue a bit until Mulen appears with only a hundread guards. Meanwhile, Baal will bring back the golems to life. After the fall down (yu never end falling down, and it’s not over yet ) you’ll be alone. Get all the treasures in the the save point room. Now enter what looks like a temple. The monsters here will hit you about 1 to 10 damages, and won’t pay a lot in EXP, so don’t mind them. But, this is where I boosted the wind power of Justin until he got Howlslash, since you get groups of enemies. Also, don’t mind the strange floating energy polygones, there’re here only for pure decoration. After reaching the top, you’ll get face to face with Herr Mullen. He’ll put you in the exit elevator. You’ll have the chance to see the Grandeur take off. Rapp and Guido will take you on a weird flying thing to follow the Grandeur.

Look at you!! GO!!!!!!

The Grandeur
Recommended Level: 29
Items: 8? Gold Pouches, Move Fruit, Warrior’s Mail

This is one of my best parts of the game. When you get on the Grandeur, save your game. Now, if you haven’t done earlier, boost your techs ! Use moves such as Lotus Cut and Ice Slash to level up many things at the same time faster. If you don’t have Heaven & Earth Cut, well, get it ! Fight a couple of guards, and come back at the recovery point. When you’re ready, make your way through the ship until the second save point ( it takes about 5 to 10 minutes ). Save. Enter the control room and prepare to face the three witches. Yes, I’m talking about Mio, Nana and Saki.
—–
BOSS: NANA, SAKI, MIO HP: 4000/5000/3000 STRATEGY: Use Justin’s Heaven and Earth Cut, then have Guido use Mogay Hypo to restores Justin’s SP, and do it again. After that use criticals to get rid of the girls. Range attacks might not work since they move around a lot.
—–
They’ll escape, making believe their lost was part of their plan. After Rapp shows you his incredible knowledge of the computers, head to the passage way that can be accessed by the control room. Rapp and Guido will fall down. You continue, going up and down the stairs. Now, time to face Baal. He’ll make you fall in a hole ( like he knew your favorit habit ) Get up from that hole and get on the roof and fight Baal !
—–
BOSS: GENERAL BAAL
HP: 2783
STRATEGY: Ok, just use Midair Cut and he won’t even touch you once.
—–
Take Feena back with you, but lose her again. Baal gets up and uses the power of Gaia this time. He’ll kick your ♥♥♥ off the ship. Feena will get off from Baal and jump down the Grandeur ( she, too, just can’t get enough of falling ) She’ll save Justin using her Icarian Wings. When she wakes up after three days, Guido will decide to go see the Wise Men of Laine.Laine
Recommended Level: 31
Go see Darling. After, go talk to Dorling ( the one that’s crazy for Liete ) He’ll open the path to Rainbow Mountains, the last stop in the way to Alent !

Rainbow Mountains
Recommended Level: 31
Items: 9 Gold Pouches, Life Fruit, Life Seed, Trust, 2 Def Seeds, Phantom Silk, Def Fruit

Now is the time to get all your missing spells for Justin. With Feena, you should have all your spells and the first Icarian Power (World End). The Mountains are devided in two areas. The first one, you have to cross ropes. When you reach the second area, the way is really straight-foward. Don’t mind about the monsters and you should reach the elevator to Alent. Guido will leave your party. Now step on the Rainbow Elevator, and … Go! To Alent !

Alent
Recommended level: 32
Items: Gold Pouch, Mana Egg

Follow the path and pick up the Mana Egg by the steps. Use the save point and trudge on ahead. You’ll fight the first boss of three.
—–
BOSS: HYDRA (BODY, PEARL HEAD, HOT HEAD, NICE HEAD, AWFUL HEAD)
HP: 3721/2848/2292/1742/2462
STRATEGY: Use attacks that affect all the enemies or ranges. Goes down easy.
—–
Go back to the save point to recover MP and return. Go east into the elevator. Follow the path then take a north turn. Boss number two.
—–
BOSS: GREAT SUSANO-O (BODY, AX, IRON BALL)
HP: 3453/2306/1600 STRATEGY: Same as the other one.
—–
Recover at the save point and continue on the path. Numero tres.
—–
BOSS: PHANTOM DRAGON
HP: 3976
STRATEGY: Use your strongest single attacks. This one’s a wussie.
—–
Enter the building and wonder in amazement at all the many Liete holograms. Talk to them all and head upstairs. Talk to the real one twice. After the sequence, you get a new party member. When the rocket crashes, use the compass to exit the Savannah.

*** Now you have your final team of the game, so it should be time for you to pass the three secret dongeons of the game. which will be at the bottom of this guide***

Luzet Mountains
Recommended Level: 32
Items: 8 Gold Pouches, 2 Run Seeds, Blue Potion, Magic Lipstick, Soul of Asura

Now this is the place to boost your magics. One thing smart you have have done from now is boost your water magic in the Castle in Zil Desert ( the second special scenario ) Every should have all water spells. So get all Feena’s abilities if you don’t yet (except Time Gate, of course) and Liete’s moves. A nice trick to boost your magics fast here to get ambushed by King Horn. They’ll use “All Together”, which call two or three other King Horn. Now use magics on all the 6 or 7 monsters and level up all your magics in 2 to 3 shots ! Also, equip Justin with an Ax, and use his Dragon Cut. He’ll gain 3 points of strenght each 3 minutes at least. When I finished this place, Justin had 230 strenght without a weapon ! By the way, to get out of that place, just head west.

J Base
Recommended Level: 34
Items: 11 Gold Pouches, Agi Fruit, Run Seed, Pope Hat, Blue Potion

Ok, ready to crush Garlyle forever ? Even if ya have to face 10000 guards ? Alright then, let’s kich their asses …… That would have been cool, right. When you get in, you notice that something real weird is going on. The guards talk to you like you were their friend. Explore the rooms in the J Base, and when you get to the room with the almost dead guard, touch the statue and a secret path should open. Proceed in. You’ll see a hole in the ground that leads to a secret Angelou City. Oh Yes, by the way, you’ll cross Mullen and Leen on the way. Now hop down the hole and chase the freaking psycho : Baal !

Underground Ruins
Recommended Level: 34
Don’t loose time boosting here. This dongeon amounts to a long passageway that’s got a few wrecked trains in it. The exit is to the south. The enemies are pretty annoying here, so use your Dragon Cut to exterminate them in one shot. The doorway at the end leads to your second fight with General Baal.
—–
BOSS: BAAL (BODY, TENTACLE)
HP: 6000/7000
STRATEGY: Use range attacks and ones that affect all enemies. Piece of cake for somebody that thinks he has the power of a god.
—–

But even if you beat the crap out of him, Baal is still alive. He’ll fuse with Gaia and start his new Reign of Terror.

Flying Ship & Field Base
Recommended Level: 35
Items: 5 Gold Pouches, Life Seed, Run Seed, Mage Seed

You’ll find yourself in a new flying ship quite ressembling the Grandeur. A guard will come in and talk about something like Feena been made a corporal … So find Mullen and he’ll explain the situation. The shipp will land in a secret Field Base in Luzet Mountains. Save there and visit the PX to buy new stuff. When you’re ready, enter the tent where Feena is. She’ll join you. Enter the big tent and talk to Leen. After the speech, exit the area and Zil Padon and Savanna will both be selectable on the map. Go to Zil Padon, and prepare for Chaos time !!!

Your here Final Stretch

Zil Padon
Recommended Level: 35
When you enter, something is odd … nobody’s there. Then, Gaia will attack the city and destroy it. So now you have to save the survivors from the Gaia Horns. They’re really easy, one Dragon Cut, and ciao ! Leen will arrive and order you to come with her. Cross the bridge and save the little bratt and his mother from more Horns. A Gaia Battler will come out from behind, but Leen will destroy it in an instant, but will get knock out by a tancle from Gaia. When you’re in the safe place of Zil Padon, go save in Guido’s House and exit the Mogay’s Part to face a Gaia Battler.
—–
BOSS: Gaia Battler / Right Hand / Left Hand
HP: 4976 / 2742 / 3109
STRATEGY: Well, it’s your third Battler, so I guess you know how to beat him, right ? So Mid Air Cut and Demon Ball on it’s main body will kill him in a minute.
—–
Leen will understand that there’s an other way of defeating Gaia. Now you can shop in the Mogay Shop ( a tent ) and go to the Mogay Inn ( next to the shop ) After the cut scene with Mullen and Leen, go to Luzet Mountains.Luzet Mountains
Recommended Level: 36
Now you get the chance to face new and stronger enemies, due to the revival of Gaia. It is the best time to boost you levels a bit. The way is the same as before.

J Base
Recommended Level: 37
Head for the Control Room and talk to Mullen. You’ll assist then at the farwells of Leen. Prtty emoving. When you’re free to move, go to the room before the Controle room and go up to the door. You’ll have a wonderfull CG with the battle of Leen Vs Gaia.

Zil Padon
Recommended Level: 37
Talk to both Rapp and Liete. Mullen will come to talk to Feena. This part is all cinematic. When you’re free to move, go see Guido. Next, return to the Mogay Inn, but Feena’ll left alredy. That means you have to go to the Field Base.

Field Base
Recommended Level: 37
Talk to the guard next to Feena’s Corporal Tent and return to the spot when you first landed from the flying ship. You’ll see Feena entering the ship with Mullen. Feena will stop Justin from coming. The ship leaves. Well now, Justin’ll be rejected by his friends, and his enemies. Exit. The only place to go is the Savanna. A short cinematic scene with the plying bird there.

Zil Padon
Recommended Level: 37
Go talk to Guido. He’s on something that looks like a stage, helping rebuilding Zil Padon. Now prepare for a terrible shock. Justin will have a long conversation with Guido. And then, AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!! Sue !! Yes, Sue !! She’s back ! She’s there !! ( sorry for those who really like her ) She’s real ! ( but how the hell did she get there anyway ? … mmm …. perhaps she stole a Garlyle flying ship and crossed the End of the World and the Meirmaid Sea with it ) Anymways. The spirits will creat a door to the Spirit Sanctuary. And guess what ? That’s where you have to go.

Spirit Sanctuary
Recommended Level: 37
Save. Now you always have two choices in there. One’s a dead end and the other one the path to follow. So head right from the beginning. When you arrive to a place with red, blue and red paths, cross them all, one at a time, and a big blue flying path should appear, leading you to the boss.
—–
BOSS: Mage King / Wand
HP: 3892 / 2346
Strategy : Three Mid Air Cut and he’s gone. Easy enough ?
—–
Step on the teleport. You’ll appear in the final room, where Justin has to speak with the spirits. At the end, he’ll gain the Spirit Sword ! Yah ! Way to go ! Exit and appear next to J Base, where you’ll have the chance to admire Gaia’s final transformation. Enter the base and save. Explore the hangar to find a big crack in a wall. Proceed foward.

Icarian City
Recommended Level: 38
Enter the tower after getting the items around the area. Get down the stairs until the first door. Continue in the rooms with blocks coming out the floor. Eventually, you’ll come in a room with a big ball you get in. The ball will flash into three colors : red, yellow and blue. Red is where you come from, yellow where you have to go, and blue is a treasure chest. When you press X, the ball will keep a color and leed you to its path. The rest of the city is full a teleports, but there’s always one way to go. At the save point, there’s an other Gaia Battler.
—–
BOSS: Gaia Battler / Left Hand / Right Hand
HP: 5871 / 4291 / 4237
Strategy: I hope you’re used to them by now, so hit its main body with your best techniques.
—–
Recover again and save and continue foward. You’ll cross Mullen and Feena on the way. Save them and fight Mullen.
—–
BOSS: Mullen
HP: 2946
Strategy : Midair Cut X 2 …. simple enought ?
—–
After the cinematic scene with Mullen and everybody, there’s only one way to go : Gaia, the last dongeon.

Gaia
Recommended Level: 39
The last dongeon. This is it. Check the surrounding for items, though it’s useless. Head foward from the save point and fight the first Gaia Boss.
—–
BOSS: Gaia Trent / Flower / Arm
HP: 4578 / 3167 / 2963
Strategy: Don’t loose time fighting the Flower and the Arm. Use Midair Cut of Justin, World End of Feena and Demon Ball of Rapp. Liete sucks and will have time to act only once.
—–
Climb the rope and save & recover. Now avoid the battles and enter the weird tunnel. Now you’ll walk over weird paths. When you get into some kind of sphere, the paths will switch directions. So switch once and exit at the end.
—–
BOSS: Gaia Armor / Eye
HP: 6785
Strategy: You can either kill the eye or the armor. Midair Cut or Heaven & Cut to kill it fast. I suggest now you return to the last save point to recover. Now work your way in color tunnel. You have to choose one different color each time until you reach a closed path of three colorful patterns. Go foward and hit the three tantacles to open that path. Monsters will appear. That new tunnel will lead to the last save point. This is the point where you have to get prepared for the final fights. Have the spirit sword and energy charm equipped, with lot of SP recover items. Enter the final room. Face Baal for the last time ( though he doesn’t look like Baal much )
—–
BOSS: Baal / Gaia Tentacle / Gaia Tentacle / Gaia Cyst
HP: 7000 / 6000 / 5456 / 4500
Strategy : Destroy Baal the fastest you can before he attacks you with all his parts. He can heal himself with AlHealer. But don’t use too much techs. Use Midair Cut of Justin who’s supposed to have the Energy Charm equipped so it doesn’t take much SP.
—–
Baal dead, an elevator appears, but before getting on, recover everything. Step on and get into Gaia Core.

THE END

Secret Dungeons (Castle of Dreams)
The first bonus area you visit should probably be the Castle of Dreams. It is the easiest of the bonus dungeons and the quickest to beat with a nice weapon that can help with the other dungeons. To get to the castle you need to go to the exit of the southern part of the Zil Desert on the second disk. Facing towards the broken pillars with the exit behind you head right along the rocky wall on the left, stay on that wall and you’ll run right into the entrance to the castle. Once you’re in you’ll notice a weird setting, just go up the stairs and talk to the girl, that’ll lower the gate to the castle and head in. Make use of the save in the main hall of the castle. Head to the left to the castles cemetery. Nothing too special in the cemetery, stay away from the walls if you get too close some spikes come out and do damage, not much though. There’s some money on the floor and to get the treasure on the platform in the water you can cross over on the legs of the of the half turtle like platform and it’s easily reached.
Next area, head back out and recover if needed, the next room is the knights room and it is just right of the cemetery. Once in you’ll notice some statues, if you walk along a certain path, i.e. straight up the middle or straight up side ect., the statues will hop and mage like monsters will appear. They are really annoying so just avoid them and head to the door on the left. This is just a small room with little treasure and one monster. Next room, head up the stairs and go right to your left, you’ll probably have to fight those butterfly like monsters, easily dealt with, keep heading to the left and get the knife then go in the dinning hall doors. Again there’s nothing much in this room grab any treasure and head back out. Recover and head back up the stairs. The next room is up another little flight stairs and on the left. There are some nice treasures in this room and they’re hidden fairly well behind all the junk in the room. Back out again. You don’t need to recover for the next room at the end of the hall. It has a save point and take full advantage of it. Behind the save is some more fallen stuff with a good whip under it, get it. Now the dresser in front of the save opens up to go to the roof. Go across the vine and into the room, down the vine and talk to the lady. She whines about the cursed sword and sends her dead dad out to kill you. Hope you saved…
Make sure to bring a couple of resu potions because the experience you get from him is around 10000 and after the experienceless monsters thats hard to pass up on any character. I was on level 30 with Justin and around that with my other three characters and it took me three tries to beat him. The main thing to keep in mind is to keep your characters as far away form each other as possible. He has the zap attack with takes off around 70 hp and his eye beam does about the same and if it’s hitting a bunch of your characters than it’ll kill you quick. Just kill his staff really quick and his head and body are the same so just use some good magic and you’ll be fine. Don’t attack with physical hits except Justins Thor Cut, because it groups your characters together and he usually dodges then anyway.
Once you beat him you’ll get a nice sword and just leave.

Secret Dungeons (Soldiers Grave)

Items: 8 Gold Pouches, Sonic Walnut, Heavy Shield, Fireproof Cape, Expensive Jewel, Diana’s Amulet, 2 All-Around Seeds, Ice Blade, Y Medal, Satisfaction Gem, 4 Soldier’s Souls, Godspeed Knife, Energy Charm
Another dungeon with really annoying monsters. Magic works very well, but I was around level 33 and was able to kill them fairly easily with my weapons. Make sure and bring a couple weapons for each character because some of the weapons they have take off zero hp on most monsters. And they give barely anything for experience again.
To get to this dungeon go to the entrance of the Zil desert on the north part from where you first enter the desert. Head to the right side of the entrance and follow that wall all the way to about the middle of the desert wall. There should be an entrance to the soldiers graveyard, it’s pretty easy to spot. Once inside save and search around if you want some little treasures. There isn’t anything special on this floor, mostly money. Now from the entrance go to the path on the left. When this path splits take the right path. You should be at a spot with a large crevice and two pads for jumping across. Don’t jump just fall. When you fall down head to the right, shortly after that the area should open up a little and in the wall on the right there is an opening, slightly hidden. Once in it is about the same as the previous floor, again not much for treasures.
Once your done looking around the entrance to the next floor is pretty easy to find because the rest of the floor has dead ends. The next floor is a lot more like a temple. Just head straight down the corridor till you reach some stairs. Now this floor has a few treasures on it and mostly money again. One room has another big crack across that, just fall again. Now these next floors have a lot of treasures and even more monsters. There are also lot of false walls. Just walk right against the walls and if it’s fake it, ll disappear. On about the 3rd or 4th floor there is a boss.
—–
BOSS: KUNG FU MASTER
HP: 4776
STRATEGY: The biggest thing to remember is keep on hitting him because he heals for around 250 HP each turn. Use the group’s weaker skills (that take less SP to use) because you want to hit him for a lot each turn for a lot of turns. Make sure one character has the Alhealer spell and use combos when no MP/SP are left. Ice seems to work good against him as well.
—–
After you beat him you might find a treasure chest that’s too high to get. To get it to lower you must find four soldiers souls. They are all behind some false walls on multiple levels. None are above the second level though. Be careful too, because when you get those treasures more monsters will appear. Mainly the wolf guys, they’re really annoying but pretty easy to beat with even your weapons. After you get the fourth soul the picture should flash to the raised chest and it should lower. It didn’t for me though I may have just gone too quick, but I went back to the chest nearest to the raised treasure and just touched it and the picture flashed to the treasure then it lowered, I’m not sure why. That’s it for this dungeon, the way out for the temple area is always the stairs then to get back up you need to just find the path back out, it’s pretty easy. The monsters don’t come back until you leave the entire dungeon

Secret Dungeons (Tower of Temptation)

Make sure and bring some resu, blue and ultra potions and drinks. Youll need them towards the top of the tower. I was on level 35 to 39 my second time through and the monsters where still as annoying as the first time I went through seven levels lower. Now to get to the tower if you’ve all ready been to Alent in space go to where you crashed the rocket. From that entrance nearest the rocket head east and you should pass the rocket on your left. Shortly after that you should run in to a mountain with one of those paths that go up the side of it, go up it. You should still be heading east and if you can’t tell which way east is, that little direction thing in the corner has a little knob like thing and that is north and the red part is south, just go off that. Once you get off the mountain path head west and stay right along the wall, you should be going right under the path you just got off also. If you stay along that wall you’ll eventually be heading north and should pass some scorpion and bird like monsters. Just a little after the mountain path goes out of sight you should be able to see a hole in the wall your walking along. It is kind of hidden, if your not loking for it you really won’t see it. When you go in you wont be able to see where you’re going but the exit is towards the North east and there’s a little treasure in one of the paths that go left once your in it.
Once out of that go in the building and to the transport, the item thing has some nice rare items for sale in it and they kind help with the tower. Get on the teleport and push X, you’ll be teleported to another area, I don’t know where. There are a lot of weapons around you but dont get them. They are the zero weapons, for training only, they take off zero damage and you need the room in your item inventory anyway. Just get them after ou finish the tower or if ou dont mind going back looking for an item save in a town.
Now off the teleporter and head North, watch out there are a few sets of Dragon knights and they aren’t much fun to fight. Go into the first door you see, it’s blue. Once inside just head up, there are two sets of bats in the cross kind of parts of the hall. I was able to take them out pretty easily with just regular attacks. Next up is a four way with some dragon knights. Try to avoid them, they’re just a waste of time and have 558 hp. Only one of the monsters in this tower give any good exp. The south path has the teleporter from the fourth floor which will be available later. The north path has a plus on the floor, just touch it and it’ll disappear. The east path has the rock that the plus disappears to and that opens another door.
Head back out and go to the east and there should be a red door. Go in and a ways up there is another four way. the west path has another set of bats and a treasure at the dead end. The east path is another dead end. Back out once your done with that one and head North east to a green door. this room has a bunch of chared walls. I fyou push X on them they blow in and some have treasures. One has a tablet with writing on it and I haven’t been able to tell what it’s for. If you have any idea please email me, it’s up top, it would be very appreciated and I would credit you for any info you gave me.
Back out again and heading to the North West to the main entrance with a Grey-green door. Once in open the red/black door if you put the plus in the rock. Go up the stairs then out to the rampart. There are two more sets of bats. Don’t try to run form them because they are really fast and it’ll just end up in an ambush. Back in and then another four way. he path to the north has an elevator to the 2nd floor and so does the east path. The south path is a dead end, I think with treasure, maybe not :).
Go to the east elevator and there are more bats once you go up then another elevator to a red and black door that goes out to another rampart. This also has two sets of bats and because of the space if you stay along the wall you can run from them. Now the fourth floor. Theres a soldiers statue just go past it he helps later. All the way up the hall, don’t worry about the walls shutting behind you. The wolf guys have six for each battle and there’s two or three sets of them up this hall and you pretty much have to fight them. At he end pull the lever and the dirt walls open it doesn’t matter which you take it’s a circle but make sure and pull the lever in the middle of the circle. The next wall falls that popped up behind you after you go back. Open the dirt walls with X again and take the north path, the others a trap. Push the blue button on the head thing and keep pushing till he turns all the ay back to you. The north path is another trap but the wall with the animal on it falls to get out. Go o the west path and pull the lever at the end of that. Go back and again the walls go down, take the south path and pull the lever then go north and you’ll wind around back to the entrance with the soldier, he’ll help you out a bit and take that path he opens. A lot of walls should open up in front of you. At the three way the path to the North est is an elevator to the 7th floor and to the south is and teleport back to the 1st. You might want to go back out and save, the teleport still works to get back up and the monsters stay gone as long as you don’t turn the game off.

Secret Dungeons (Tower of Temptation) Part 2

Now up to the seventh floor. There are a lot of locked doors in this floor, once you wind around to going north west and pass a green door the wall a little ways in front is almost black and opens up. Go in and push the blue button, just walk on it. Watch out for the mages, they disappear and circle the button. Really annoying to fight. Now go back and turn south west the blue door is now open just go under and down the stairs. Take the east turn and own more stairs. Go north and the wall on the north east side of the next stairs opens get the goodie and go back push the button next to the stairs go up the stairs you came down. Go north at the turn and fall down the hole. Go east and watch out for ghosts only magic really hurts them and if you do fight the zap attacks work well. Keep going till you get to more stairs and push the button next to it go up the stairs. The wall on the south west of the hole opens for an item. Fall down the hole and go south and up the stairs, around again to the next stairs and go up push the button next to the stairs go own and push the button next to those stairs and now take the diaganol path through to the next stairs, it should go to a hall with some bigger rooms down it with holes in the middle, watch out for the holes they will set you back a ways if you fall. ghosts are in the hall just past that hole and after that some more stairs up to the 7th floor. Head east and hit the black button, go back a little ways and there should be all the black and red doors open, head north east and then an opening and head south east to open a wall. You should be by a red door thats locked with ghosts gaurding that wall that opens, you’ll probably have to fight them a then open the wall and push the button to open the red door. Go under the red door to get the purple button, hit that button the go back a under the purple door. It’s right next to the red door.
Right after the purple door at another cross section in the hall there are some gaia brains, they are the only monsters that give any good experince. They’re just like the bats so just beat em up with regular attacks and they’re worth about 850 exp. Wind around the halls again and hit the gold button. Go back under the red door to the purple button and head north when the hall comes to a split head west shortly to an indent in the wall, it opens for a treasure. Go back and around the circle a little more to under the gold door. Hit the green button. Go back to the red door and head south west then north west at a turn and then north east. You should be back by the first wall you opened and this time go under the green door to the stairs and go up. You can also go back to the elevator and back to the fourth floor then teleport to the first to get the save and recover. If you do the elevator stays active and all the doors you opened stay open.
Another fun part, more repetitive if any thing. The stairs lead up to the 9th floor which is a large circle. It has five or six hall ways all with trap doors near the begining of them. I fyou fall down them you go to the 8th floor which is a little maze with one way back up to the nineth. The eighth floor has a couple treasures, but nothing special, including a lot of monsters. I would just skip it. To get over the trap doors, just walk right up to the edge of the doors and let them open. The holes are really easy to see even before they open, a couple of them shake when you get near and the rest you can see the edges at a good angle. Once they close you have quite a bit of time to run over them. All of the halls have some little treasure or monster, but no way out or up. To get to the next floor go to the hall to the south east and fall down the first hole you see. —- Just a quick warning though. Once you fall down this hole there is no way back to the other floors till you beat it. Make sure you brought a few resu potions or anyhting else that ressurects and some ultra drinks and blue or gold potions. If your low on magic I would definitly recommend getting back to the save and recovering, you will need all the magic you can get.—-
Once you fall down the hole there is only one way to go and no secret passages. On the 10th floor is the first of three bosses. They are all just like previous bosses except a bit more powerful. The first one is pretty easy, just take out the mace pretty quickly and pound away at the rest of him. There is a door to the right of the boss once you beat him same with the rest.
The 11th floor boss is like the mermaids fish thing and has very similar attacks. Stay away from him if possible and try to keep your characters apart. It has a couple of range attacks. The 12th floor boss is a bit hard and just like the squid in the ghost ship. Take care of the arms as quick as possible with attacks like thor cut or any large range magic attacks. The body heals itself automaticly so it makes it easy if you take out the arms first. If you used range attacks against the arms the body should be down to about 2 or 3 thousand and you can just use regular attacks. If your fast enough and constantly hit it, it’ll barely be able to attack.
After you beat it there is another red and black door that easily opens. Not sure why they even put it there, effect i guess. Once your outside don’t go up the stairs, go around the edges because there is some treasures. After you get those go on up to the middle and collect your rewards. Don’t use the teleport behind the big stand unless you feel like doing all that over again. There is an item stasher at the back of the platform with all the tresures and if you don’t have room make sure and stash a couple of items there. When your done getting what you want just use the teleport and if you didn’t get the zero weapons you can still go back through the original teleport to get them anytime you want.
Once you have left all of the doors shut and the monsters come back, except the bosses, so there’s really no need to return.
